Biography

Steve Pyburn has a diverse background when it comes to working with different industries. While at Georgia Tech, Steve worked for 2 years as a ChemE co-op. After graduation he spent 2 years as a strategy consultant, and subsequently 22 years as a Financial Planning & Analysis exec.

Steve is a finance executive with over 20 years of experience spanning media, entertainment, and technology. As Senior Vice President of Finance for the Corporate Segment at Warner Bros. Discovery, he guides strategic financial operations and supports key corporate decisions. Before joining Warner Bros. Discovery, Steve led finance for WarnerMedia’s Technology & Operations Division, where he played a central role in integrating financial functions after the WarnerMedia-Discovery merger.

Previously, Steve served as Vice President of Finance at Turner Broadcasting, overseeing financial strategy for Cartoon Network, Adult Swim, and their digital divisions. His focus on budget planning, financial forecasting, and operational excellence helped drive significant growth within Turner’s entertainment brands. Earlier, as Controller at GameTap, Steve directed all financial planning for the digital gaming service, bringing valuable experience in the digital media space. With a background that also includes consulting for Accenture, Steve is a seasoned mentor in strategic finance, digital media, and large-scale financial integration.
