Biography

Josh Piper is a seasoned software developer with nearly two decades of experience at CALIBRE, where he leads a team maintaining and enhancing a suite of web-based ASP.NET applications for a major governmental client. His expertise spans the full application stack, from user interface design to server security and compliance. In recent years, Josh has played a critical role in securing the operational integrity of the team’s applications, leading successful RMF security audits and ensuring systems align with DISA STIG standards.

Josh’s path to becoming a lead software developer was deeply influenced by his experience at Georgia Tech, where he valued the chance to exchange diverse perspectives. Originally from the West Coast, he attributes much of his growth to the blend of backgrounds and insights he shared with his Phi Gamma Delta fraternity brothers. In his words, "My GT experience played a huge role in my path to becoming the lead software developer for a large governmental client while raising a family and having a blast along the way."

Josh's prior experience includes founding and running paraDIMES LLC, where he gained valuable entrepreneurial and technical skills, and working as a design engineer at Engle Dental Systems, where he honed his early engineering expertise.
